Do you still intend on keeping the same path?
As mentioned before the family business is still my desired path. I enjoy the management and construction field. It’s something I’ve been exposed to since a young age and I don’t see myself doing anything else. I do plan on using the experiences and skills from this class to help me on this path.
Have you been successful in accomplishing any of the things you stated that you wanted to do to improve your Entrepreneurial Awareness?
With the semester almost over and Covid restrictions being reduced I’ve been able to do a lot more and improve on my entrepreneurial awareness. I’ve been on site more and been in regular contact with many of the management teams there including the tradesmen. My main goal of pivoting is still in progress and I still need a few more years of experience to achieve it. Due to the skills I’ve learned in this course many of my solution outcomes have improved, I’ve made my team more efficient and I think the boss is starting to take notice.
Tell me your journey in this course, where did you start; where do you find yourselves today? What did you learn?
Although I think it has to do with the amazing group I had, before this class I didn’t really enjoy group work. I usually focused on challenges independently and didn’t want help from others. My group experiences proved to me that the cliché “team work is dream work” is actually very true. Each participant might see a challenge in a different perspective and when the group works all together, you’re able to see the problem in a comprehensive way. I learned how to work with a team and communicate thoroughly to figure out the best solution. Each member had a unique skill that helped each of our assignments excel. Over the course of the semester I became comfortable with the material and learned a lot with the help of my classmates.
