Observe - What behaviours do these users engage in?

    • Users usually have multiple different streaming platforms for their various needs (music, movies, tv … etc).
    • Users are looking to have access to all the media they want for the cheapest price

Engage/Research- where can you find users? What do you know about them?

    • The users that we are targeting with this program are students that are on a budget, however can be targeted to anyone that needs help splitting their subscription services. 
    • Users can be found through the use of social media as almost all students have instagram, facebook, etc. 
    • Another way users can be found is through the use of surveys in order to test our market and see if a product like this is needed. Surveyed people would be introduced to the product and would likely look further into it if they are already reacting well to the surveys
    • We know that students are on a very tight budget with most of them having student loans and not being able to work much on a full time school schedule. We also know that many students have subscription services relevant to their studies such as well as for leisure such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube Premium, Crave.
      • 92% of college students have access to Netflix (LendEDU, 2017)

Immerse- What is your personal experience with this problem? Are you able to look at it from the perspective of others?

    • We are all students and have a direct experience with this problem of needing subscription services, but thinking it costs way too much. 
    • It seems that there are constantly new streaming services being released by all major networks, all with their own arsenal of exciting shows. It is getting harder and harder to keep up with what streaming service your favorite shows are being moved to and on top of this, having access to a whole range of different streaming sites gets expensive quickly. This is not an ideal situation for our target market.
    • It is easy to look at this problem in the perspective of our target market as we all fit into the same description of students on a budget. This allows us to understand the problem of expensive streaming services and try to find a solution.
